BIBLIOTECA PÓLEN
English
To those who do not mistake accuracy (la rigueur!) for rigidness, it is
usefull to consider that Philosophy is not only the exclusive domain of the
competent and authorized technician known as "philosopher". It has not
always appeared in public in an academic outfit, it has not always been
cultivated in nurseries, protected from the dangers of reflexion: Kant's
critique of pure reason itself, despite its astonishing technological
machinery, was aimed, declaredly, at rescuing the objects of Metaphysics
from the "monopoly of the Schools".
The act of philosophizing has happened, since Antiquity, in the form of
dialogues, poems, letters, fragments, essays, confessions, meditations,
parodies, peripathetic promenades, escorted by endless commentary, restlessly
restarted, and even the most classic models of system (Spinoza’s Ethics,
Hegel’s Logic, Fichte’s Doctrine of Science) are touched in their own
systematic status by the constitutive paradox by which they live. This
vitality of Philosophy, in the multiplicity of its forms, is the denominator
of the books in this collection. "Biblioteca Pólen" does not intend to be
disciplinarily philosophical but, precisely, to carry on those grains of
antidogmaticism by which thought is prevented from confinement: an invitation
to freedom and joy of reflexion.
